This is the written version of the video: how to connect your agent and what to ask it.

What your agent can do

The video opens on two slideshows side by side: an original that pulls views, and a copy of its format made in about two minutes from a terminal. Nobody touched a phone to make it, and nobody will touch one to post it.

That is the Postjam MCP. MCP is the standard way coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex call outside tools, and Postjam runs a server for it. Once your agent is connected, it can create automations, schedule them, batch posts and point you at the page that connects an account. Almost anything you do in the web app, you can ask for in a sentence.

Copy the MCP config

In Postjam, click your profile picture and choose Agents. The tab opens on Connect an agent with three ways in:

  • The config. A JSON block that names the server at https://mcp.postjam.app. Paste it into your agent's MCP settings, such as .cursor/mcp.json in Cursor.
  • The command. One line to run in a terminal. For Claude Code it is claude mcp add --transport http postjam https://mcp.postjam.app, and Codex has its own codex mcp add.
  • Copy prompt. A paragraph that asks your agent to add the server itself, reconnect and list the tools to confirm it works. Paste it into any agent that can edit its own config.

The video copies the config. Any of the three ends in the same place.

Give it to your agent

Paste what you copied into your CLI. There is no API key to make or store. The first time the agent calls a Postjam tool, Postjam opens in your browser and asks whether to let the agent in. Press Allow and the agent is connected to your workspace.

The agent then shows under Connected agents on the same Agents tab, with a Revoke button for the day you want it gone.

Ask for an automation

The replica in the video started as a link. Give your agent a TikTok post that already works and ask for an automation from it:

Turn this TikTok into a Postjam automation: https://www.tiktok.com/@…

The agent imports it. A photo post becomes a slideshow, and a video becomes a video automation. The import keeps running for a minute or so after the agent gets its answer, reading the text off every slide and matching backgrounds from your gallery, and the agent checks on it until the automation is ready. How to Fully Automate Slideshows in Postjam walks through what the import does, slide by slide.

You can also ask for an automation from scratch, and then edit it in plain words: change a slide's text, swap a background, add a sticker, set the song, write the caption or the hashtags.

Schedule it

A schedule makes an automation post on its own. Tell the agent the days, the times, your time zone and the accounts:

Post the new automation every day at 18:00 Stockholm time to my TikTok and my Instagram.

Before it saves anything, the agent reads the schedule back to you (days, times, zone, accounts) and waits for a yes. Each occurrence then renders ahead of its time and posts to the accounts you named. Instagram, Threads and Facebook post on their own, and so does YouTube for a video automation (it takes no slideshows). TikTok lands as a draft in your TikTok inbox, and you tap post, because TikTok's API allows nothing else.

Batch posts

For a run of posts from one automation, ask the agent to render several exports and put them out together, either now or on the automation's next scheduled slots:

Make five exports of the new automation and queue them onto its schedule.

Each export is a fresh variation, with new backgrounds and, on overlays set to Cycle or AI Rewrite, new text. As with a schedule, the agent reads back which exports go to which accounts and when, and posts only once you say yes, since a post cannot be unsent.

Connect accounts

Ask the agent to connect an account and it replies with the link and what happens there. The connecting itself is a step you take in the browser, because it is a sign-in on the platform, or a QR code for TikTok. When you are back, the agent sees the new account and can post to it.

Check the automation in the web app

The agent can do nearly everything, and the video still recommends the web app for one job: looking at a new automation before anything is scheduled from it. An automation that reads well as a list of slide texts can still have a background that fights the words, a sticker in the wrong corner or a hook cut off at the edge.

Open the automation in the Studio, press play, and look at the first export on its Exports tab. Once it looks right, go back to the terminal and schedule it, or batch it, as much as you like.

FAQ

Which agents work with the Postjam MCP? Any agent that speaks MCP over HTTP: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Claude Desktop and claude.ai among them. The MCP page has the setup for each.

Do I need an API key? No. The agent signs in through your browser the first time it calls Postjam, and you approve it with Allow.

Can the agent post without asking me? It reads back every schedule and every batch before it acts, and waits for a yes. A schedule you approve then posts on its own, which is the point of it.

How do I disconnect an agent? Open Agents from your profile and press Revoke next to it.

Can I still use the web app? Yes. The agent and the web app edit the same automations, so you can start in one and finish in the other.

Recap

Copy the MCP config from the Agents tab, give it to your agent, and press Allow the first time it calls Postjam. Then ask for what you want in plain words: an automation from a TikTok link, a schedule, a batch of posts, the link to connect an account. Check each new automation in the web app once before it posts on repeat.
