How many hashtags should I use on TikTok?
Three to five. TikTok's caption allows more, but the tags that help are the ones that name what the video is about, and a long list dilutes them. This tool caps a copied line at five.
Do hashtags still work on TikTok?
Yes, as a signal of what the video is about, next to the caption, the text on screen and the sound. They do not make a video go viral on their own, but a video without them is harder to place.
Should I use #fyp or #foryou?
It does no harm and little good. Every video is eligible for the For You page whether or not it is tagged. A niche tag tells TikTok who to show the video to; #fyp tells it nothing.
Where do these hashtags come from?
